Over spring break Andrew and I were able to go to Maui! It was my first time ever in Hawaii and I LOVED it! Andrew had gone with his family a few times, and we got to enjoy our time with his parents, sisters, and nephews this year. It was a blast. It was sooo nice to get a break from Yakima, and everything it's come to reprsent for us (school=stress, work=stress.) It was the perfect remedy for being in a rut which made it so hard to come back!
I mean, look at that beauty!!
On Sunday, Andrew's dad, Andrew, and I went on the infamous "road to Hana." It's 52 miles long, passes over 59 bridges, there are approximately 620 curves through lush, beautiful wildlife. It was sure fun to experience it in our rental Mustang!! :) It was a beautiful day for a scenic ride.
On Monday, we went on a way fun whale-watching ride. It was really neat to see humpback whales so close up! Sadly, we weren't fast enough to get a good picture. They all turned out looking like black dots. :) It was incredible to see a whale breach literally 30 feet away from our boat! So neat! By the end of the ride we were soaked. :)
One night, we went to Lahaina (a little town way close to where we were staying) with Andrew's dad, sister Lisa, and nephew Carter .We got to do a bit of shopping, and we enjoyed an amazing meal RIGHT on the ocean.
Everything is so green and lush. It was so refreshing!
Most mornings were relaxing with us all sitting by the beach reading and soaking in the sun. This boy actually STUDIED on his vacation! He brought his lap top down by the shore and sat with us. :) That right there is dedication!
I am SO glad that Andrew's parents invited us along on this trip! It was SO fun! We seriously had the best time ever, and I hope to be able to go again!
I would highly recommend it to anyone. :)

We got to stop plenty of times along the way and take some scenic pictures. So beautiful and green!
